Music and Teaching


Teaching piano, cello, how to improve sight reading skills, how to read music and musicianship to adults and children (both beginners and experienced pianists) as a private teacher, and developing new ways of using technology in teaching – using the Nintendo DS, online software for visualising music and iPhone applications. Inventing games to explore musical concepts.

"In Harmony" Project, Lambeth. Volunteer, participating in primary school musicianship sessions and supporting lower strings in the After School Orchestra.

Volunteer teaching assistant at a school specialising in the education of boys with special needs. Led classes (age 8–11) for music lessons and also worked with a group of boys (age 12–13) in the speech and language therapy unit, designing activities and leading classes.
